CareScout Ratings® Products
CareScout created the first ratings and rankings for every nursing home in America in 1996 and was initially published by Time-Warner, Inc. (Warner Books, 1997). Written by the
founder of CareScout, it provided meaningful information to help consumers make intelligent eldercare decisions. It was hailed as “the best book on nursing homes ever” by Sue Shellenbarger (the Wall Street Journal’s Work-Family columnist - WSJ Talk Radio, 2000).
The ratings methodology has been extended to compare certified home health care agencies as well. These unique ratings are updated on a regular basis to help families determine which providers have outperformed or underperformed their peers on government mandated quality of care and quality of life survey inspections.
CareScout is a trusted source for quality based comparisons and
metrics. CareScout does not purchase its ratings from other entities and ratings are derived from a patent pending methodology for rating healthcare facilities.
About twelve pages in length, CareScout Reports are very detailed and contain proprietary results that are only published by CareScout. For example, a CareScout Professional Nursing Home Report contains:
- CareScout Current and Historical Ratings
- CareScout Fire Safety Rating
- CareScout Quality of Care Trend
- CareScout Resident Profiles
- CareScout Bed Availability Indicator
