What aging with dignity means to us...

"At BrightStar Care of Greater Chester County we belive that Aging with Dignity is to "honor the God-given human dignity of the most vulnerable among us". The primary focus of Aging with Dignity is to improve end-of-life care by encouraging people to make medical decisions in advance of a serious illness."

Our caregivers are...

"Our experienced professional care teams are trained to be consistently observant of your loved one’s individual needs, including any subtle changes in their vital signs, behaviors or symptoms. Because specially trained caregivers track and report these changes in condition to the Director of Nursing for your local BrightStar Home Care agency, we are able to modify your family member’s personalized plan of care to reduce the likelihood of falls, infection, re-admission to the hospital, medication interactions and other potentially undesirable outcomes. "

The care we offer is unique because...

"Choosing someone to care for your family is one of the biggest decisions you’ll ever make. In addition to providing a superior level of care, our caregivers are known for bringing joy and reassurance to those they spend time with. Even as our caregivers and nurses meet your loved one’s functional needs, they also focus on enhancing their quality of life and celebrate the little “wins” that can make each day special. Here are some of the other ways we’re different — and reasons why our family of BrightStar Care brands are a smart choice to meet your family’s needs. Why Choose BrightStar® Home Care? In addition to Joint Commission accreditation — which demonstrates our commitment to safety and quality standards — our compassionate and proactive caregivers deliver a personalized nurse-led plan of care right in your loved one’s home. Important to remember when caring for someone...

"At BrightStar we belive that empathy is important when building relationships in every aspect of life. Communication is a must-have skill for caregivers as they are often at the forefront of their client's life. They may also be expected to communicate any needs or concerns of their client to family, doctors, and employers"

What person-centered care means to us...

"At BrightStar Care it is our philosophy to treat the entire person not just the disease type. As a part of our assessments, we gather numerous Person-Centered touchpoints to gain a better understanding of the client including their likes and dislikes as well their life history. This information is included in the Plan of Care so that our clinical team is better positioned to ensure that care is delivered in a manner consistent with the client’s preferences while also being able to bond with them. At BrightStar Care we always • Treat clients with dignity and respect. • Encourage client participation in decision-making. • Communicate with clients about their clinical condition and treatment options. • Provide patients with information in a format that they understand so they can participate in decision-making."

"The Greater Chester County office is owned & operated by Bob Ouellette, who had a very successful 30+ year career as a senior executive in the manufacturing and distribution sectors. As with many things in life, our personal experiences shape what is truly important to us and what motivates us to achieve significance over success. For Bob that calling came with the passing of his mother. Bob’s mother was a nurse, who went on to earn her a master’s degree and doctorate. She then became a professor of nursing at Boston College, specializing in neurological brain decline and traumatic brain injury. In a darkly ironic twist, she ended up developing Alzheimer’s disease in the later stages of her life. This is when Bob decided to open a BrightStar Care to carry on his mothers legacy of caring for others. Bob chose to open a BrightStar Care so he could provide the full continuum of care to the community, while focusing on a Higher Standard of care delivery and reliability. He then built out a team of like-minded individuals to join the cause with everyone focused on the goal of truly making a difference in the lives we serve. We are now proudly serving the Greater Chester County area with the goal of providing your loved ones with the care they need, with the compassion they deserve. "
