What aging with dignity means to us...

Aging with dignity can only happen when an individual is treated as an adult. Seniors dread the loss of independence, and needing care represents loss of that independence and control. Our clients are adults and we treat them as such, giving them respect and giving them control at every opportunity. We support them in their independence.

Our caregivers are...

Our caregivers are the face of the agency. We carefully vet and screen every candidate. Our caregivers must have professional caregiving experience, have a clean background, and have excellent references. We treat them as the valuable team members they are.

The care we offer is unique because...

From first contact, in most cases it is the agency owner who talks through the needs and details of the situation. The owner will guide the client/family through a complimentary face to face meeting, go through the onboarding process with the client and/or family wellness contact, and will introduce the caregiver to the client on the first day of care. The client is then introduced to other agency team members who can offer support, such as Scheduling and Client Care.

Important to remember when caring for someone...

When a client/family signs an agreement with Always Best Care, it is the agency's responsibility to learn about them; not only what their physical/cognitive challenges may be, but what their preferences are. So it is important to remember that each client is an individual and we must learn about who they are.

What person-centered care means to us...

DIGNITY. We treat our clients with the dignity they deserve. We acknowledge that needing the support of caregivers may represent loss of control in their life. We offer them safe choices whenever we have the opportunity, and listen to them when they voice concerns.

What would you want to know for family member care ...

I would want to know that the agency would treat my loved one the way they would want theirs treated. The owner, Charmaine, keeps a large image of her with her late mother in the agency reception area. She says she is the agency mascot, and that guides some of the tougher decision making.
