What aging with dignity means to us...

Everyone deserves to age in place if that is their desire. However, we know that most seniors will require assistance at some point in their life. Unfortunately, there is a stigma to accepting help. Seniors think that they will lose control and independence if they ask for help. We like to reframe the conversation to help maintain their dignity by focusing on interdependence. The term interdependence more accurately describes how all people rely on each other. No one is truly independent. By asking for help, seniors are not becoming less independent; rather they are embracing interdependence. We provide as much or as little help as a person needs and wants, and we always ensure that they feel like they are in control of the situation.

Our caregivers are...

Our caregivers are at your service to provide care, comfort and companionship. Our caregivers are not contracted workers, they are our employees. They have undergone a complete background check, drug test and training and orientation. During our orientation, our caregivers experience the Virtual Dementia Tour - a simulation of dementia and hands on training. Many of our caregivers have had a personal experience caregiving with their own family members so they understand what you are going through.

The care we offer is unique because...

We provide caregivers who meet the specific needs of our clients based on their Life Profile. No other home care company utilizes the Life Profile which is a proprietary tool that allows our care managers to coordinate the needed care and recommend other services and products that will put our client in the best position possible to age successfully wherever they call home!

Important to remember when caring for someone...

Treat clients the way you would want someone to care for your parents or grandparents. They want to feel like they are in control, respected and cared for. Trust is very important, they want to feel like they can trust their caregiver. It's also very important to put their needs first and consider how your actions will make them feel.

What person-centered care means to us...

We start our relationship with the Life Profile scoring and assessment tool which helps us take an objective look at the whole person within their environment. We consider 250 factors that help us understand a person's needs and vulnerabilities that put them at risk of an unsafe occurrence that could lead to a hospitalization. With that information, we create a specific care plan that addresses needs and mitigates risks. We also review financials and help clients tap into payer sources that will help them pay for care.

What would you want to know for family member care ...

Care, trust, compassion. I would want to know that the caregiver has my loved one's best interest at heart!
