Sunrise Garden Assisted Living receives mixed reviews from residents and their families. Some praise the facility for its cleanliness, bright atmosphere, and friendly, caring staff. They appreciate the positive experiences and the accommodating nature of the caregivers. The facility is described as appealing, with a good caregiver-to-resident ratio, and the quality of food is noted as great. The involvement of the owner, a doctor, is highlighted positively, with personal visits to residents even before they move in. Music activities, such as piano playing and singing, are appreciated, adding a fun element to the residents' experience. However, there are also negative reviews. Some criticize the caregivers for being arrogant and inept, with poor service and substandard food. The owner is perceived by some as primarily interested in collecting monthly payments. Concerns are raised about the lack of nighttime care, as the caregivers present at night are not awake, necessitating additional costs for hiring nighttime care. The facility is noted to cater mostly to less active residents, with limited activities available. Overall, while some families express satisfaction and willingness to recommend or return to Sunrise Garden Assisted Living, others advise caution due to perceived issues with caregiver attitudes, service quality, and additional costs for nighttime care.

I’ve debated for a while on whether or not I should leave a review. I decided to leave one to hopefully save someone from making the decision that I made during a very difficult time. This review is for hospice care for my mother who was given only a couple of weeks to live and due to various circumstances was released from the hospital. I was mislead on the level of care my mother would receive to manage her pain and comfort at the end of her life. When I first arrived I met a nurse, who we paid to provide pain management. As far as I can tell the nurse was never actually there until the morning my mom passed. If she was there whatever “pain management” she was doing was ineffective. I had a conversation with my Mom on a Monday. On a Tuesday she was obviously in pain was able to express this through limited speech. Wednesday and Thursday it appeared she was in incredible pain. She was constantly writhing in her bed, moaning, trying to rip off her clothes and nasal oxygen assi
