My sister and I went to several Memory facilities in advance of Dad impending move. We chose this community because it was in his home town, 7 miles from me, had a memory unit of 3 floors and reminiscence unit on the fourth floor. His first two years he became part of the community by interacting with the wonderful staff. When his Alzheimers progressed he moved to the remembrance floor where he felt he was part of the staff again. He loved to tease the staff, sing and get into mischief. Throughout his stay we worked with their Wellness staff and his doctors to stay on top of the Alzheimers progression. At the end of his life he went out in dignity with the genuine love of all his second family.
