CareScout Community Score

Based on CareScout’s proprietary scoring.

The CareScout Community Score is calculated using our proprietary rating system, created to help families make well-informed choices about senior living options. This score is determined using a comprehensive set of criteria, including sentiment analysis of online ratings and reviews, user-submitted feedback on CareScout.com, completeness of the community profile, input from employees and local advisors, a community's contracted status with CareScout, and the frequency of visits to the community's website and location. Communities can earn a maximum score of 10.

indicates a community has a contract with CareScout, meaning we receive a fee from the community or an advisor, after a family has moved in. Contracted communities receive additional points toward their Community Score; however, it's possible for a community to earn a score of 10 even if they are not contracted with CareScout.

The reviews for Overland Court Senior Living present a mixed picture. Many reviewers praise the facility for its caring and compassionate staff, particularly highlighting individuals like Amanda, Brenda, and the caregivers in the Huckleberry Hill Memory Care Center. These staff members are noted for their dedication, friendliness, and ability to make residents feel at home. The facility is described as clean, with a welcoming atmosphere and a variety of activities for residents. However, there are significant concerns about management and operational issues. Several reviewers report problems with communication, particularly regarding the notification of family members about incidents involving residents. There are also complaints about understaffing, which affects the quality of care and cleanliness. Some reviewers experienced delays in receiving refunds after a resident's departure or passing, with management being unresponsive to inquiries. The food quality receives mixed reviews, with some describing it as lackluster and often served cold. There are also mentions of maintenance issues, such as non-functioning emergency pull cords and dirty floors. Despite these challenges, many families appreciate the efforts of the caregiving staff and feel their loved ones are well cared for. Overall, while the facility has strong points in terms of staff dedication and resident care, there are notable areas for improvement in management responsiveness and operational efficiency.

Horrible place! Was good tell the new director started ! Long time residents and staff are leaving! A few residents with out hot water for almost 2 years!! Maintenance director does not take care of the building and is always under staffed!!

My mother lived at Overland Court Assisted Senior Living for almost 2 years. She had mild Dementia but still enjoyed the many activities available and the food. Her room was spacious with large windows. She was well cared for by the staff. The nursing staff would also provide us updates on her condition when we stop by. As her Dementia increased, she was moved to the Huckleberry wing inside Overland Court. The staff were awesome and provided great care. Her condition deteriorated after she fell and broke her hip and she passed away in early June 2025. As a previous review stated, the new Business manager promised us a partial refund for the month of June. The lease agreement signed by my mother also states refunds will be refunded within 30 days. Four months later there was no refund, only excuses, incompetence or revenue issues. I would give the staff at Overland Court a 4-star rating and management a 2-star rating which equals out to a 3-star rating.

I am so glad that we chose Overland Court for my loved one. The staff are incredibly kind and understanding, and they make the residents feel valued and welcome.Staff was very helpful when we toured the facility and gave us all the information we needed to make our decision. We have been really pleased with how well my loved one has adjusted, and it is a huge relief to see them doing so well in their new home.
