Irving Point receives mixed reviews from residents and their families. Many appreciate the facility's cleanliness, friendly staff, and the sense of community it fosters. Residents enjoy the variety of activities, such as bingo and church services, and the opportunity to socialize. The facility offers independent living with amenities like exercise equipment and cozy apartments, which many find appealing. Some residents value the ability to cook their own meals, though meals are available for purchase. However, there are notable criticisms. The food quality is a common complaint, with some residents finding it unappetizing and portion sizes small. The activity director's limited hours and lack of creativity in planning activities are also points of dissatisfaction. Additionally, some residents and their families express frustration with the billing process, desiring more transparency and itemization of services. Sally, an administrator, receives mixed feedback. While some find her informative and helpful, others describe negative experiences, questioning her professionalism and competence. Despite these issues, many residents feel safe and well-cared-for, appreciating the facility's efforts to maintain a welcoming environment. Overall, Irving Point is seen as a good option for those seeking independent living with support, though improvements in food quality, activity planning, and billing transparency could enhance the experience.

Linda

March 2024

I have lived here for almost four years and I have met lots of new friends and love the actives planned for us to take part in here in the building and out in the community. The dining room is very friendly and the food is very good. I love living here.

Linda

January 2024

My name is Linda, I am 79 years old and have lived here for 4 years. I have a 1 bedroom unit and it is big for me. I had a cat named Buddy and all the staff was very supportive and friendly with him. I enjoy the meals I do get (lunch and supper) and breakfast I fix in my own completely furnished kitchen. We have movies, pool table and do games of all kind. We go out to eat when the weather is good and take walks with the Activity Director who always plans fun things for us in the afternoons. I enjoy living here, but the best part for me is the friends I have made while living here.
