Please consider carefully what your loved one needs before choosing this memory care. For months they did not fill my mom’s prescription for her behavioral health medication. We saw her become more difficult and decline. We would take her for care with her physician, but they would not fill or reconcile her meds at Hawkins. The state finally came in and uncovered the issue. They would not apologize for their mistake and instead raised our rate by more than $1,200 a month because they said my mom was “difficult”. They caused her temporary difficulties by not providing her with medication she needed. There is a drastic lack of nursing care and no physician oversight of this unit. The manager, Chris, was unapologetic and rude to my family. We moved my mom to another facility that has better practices around care and medication management. The aides were very kind to my mom and tried to do the best they could with very limited resources. If they harm your parent they won’t own actions.
