What families are saying

We’ve gathered and summarized real family reviews from across the internet for you. Contact a CareScout representative for details.

Waltonwood Assisted Living receives mixed reviews from residents and their families. Many praise the facility for its caring and professional staff, who are described as compassionate, attentive, and dedicated to residents' well-being. The community offers a range of activities, including physical exercise, social events, and educational programs, which are appreciated by residents and their families. The facility itself is often described as clean, modern, and well-maintained, with amenities like a pool, gym, and dining options receiving positive feedback. However, some reviews highlight significant concerns. Issues with understaffing are mentioned, leading to delayed responses to calls for assistance. Complaints about the quality of food, lack of dietary options, and repetitive menus are common. Some residents and families report dissatisfaction with management's responsiveness to issues and communication lapses. Safety concerns, such as inadequate lighting and lack of fire drills, are also noted. The memory care unit receives specific praise for its low staff-to-resident ratio and personalized care, while some express disappointment over the availability of assisted living units. Despite the high cost, many families feel the quality of care justifies the expense, while others believe improvements are needed. Overall, Waltonwood is recommended by many for its supportive environment and comprehensive care, but potential residents are advised to be proactive in addressing any concerns.

If I could post less than one star, I would do so, as it would be more accurate than a one star review. The review disclaimer doesn't allow "allegations of negligence", which probably means that my review won't be posted, though I've been careful to not use those terms in my review. From the time my parent started living in memory care at WW, there has been an ongoing list of issues, particularly with inattentive staff, patient cleanliness and personal hygiene, minimal patient interaction, poor communication between staff and family members. For the price being paid ($13,000+monthly), a much higher level of service is to be expected, and WW has fallen far short of the mark. If you are looking for a high level of service and care for your family member, I urge you to not consider WW. My dog gets better care and treatment at the vet/kennel. Let's see if you will post my review. Many will be thankful if you do.

I have been very impressed with the care my mother has received at Waltonwood. The staff are kind, patient, and compassionate, and they have always responded quickly to any concerns I have had about my mom's health. It's close to the outlets so it's easy to stop by on my way home and go out shopping etc. In general, I've been impressed by how well the staff have gotten to know my mother and by the range of activities available for residents to enjoy.
