The Assisted Living facility is nice to look at. Some of the people care, but overall I would not recommend it if your loved one needs any real assistance. Do not trust them with medications without keeping close tabs on that yourself. Do not expect the staff to stay consistent any length of time. Be proactive with communication because they do not make it easy. Keep an eye on the cleanliness of your loved one's apartment and don't expect laundry service to be quick. Activities can be fun, but notice how residents can't use the comfy sitting area outside the dining area (door is always locked). Staff leave cigarette butts all over outside. Whatever you do, never send your loved one next door to Memory Care!
