I recently toured The Courtyard at Fitchburg while exploring memory care options for my loved one, and I left feeling very encouraged. From the moment we walked in, the team was welcoming, patient, and willing to answer every question we had. These decisions are not easy, and I appreciated that the conversation never felt rushed or sales-driven.
The memory care area felt secure, calm, and thoughtfully designed. The common spaces were bright and clean, and it was clear that residents were engaged throughout the day. I also liked how the staff spoke about individualized care plans and getting to know each resident’s history and preferences. That personal approach really stood out to me.
Most importantly, the atmosphere felt warm. It didn’t feel clinical. It felt like a community. Touring here gave me a sense of comfort during a stressful time, and I would absolutely recommend taking a look if you’re searching for memory care in the area.
Courtyard is a great assisted living community! They've made a lot of changes over the past few months that have really improved things. Everyone on the staff is very easy to talk to and you really get the sense that they care about the residents. They go out of their way to make sure that things are being taken care of. Really positive experience; would recommend touring if you are looking for a loved one in the Fitchburg area.
Located right next to McKee farms park in a quiet safe neighborhood is a beautiful setting. They are always really thoughtful and engaging activities and social life for the seniors and the staff have been really helpful and kind. I highly recommend checking this assisted-living in memory care all if you were searching for yourself or your parents. I enjoy attending the events they have.
My husband and I had the opportunity to volunteer at an event here and we were blown away by the experience. The facility is absolutely beautiful, but what impressed us the most is the atmosphere. It’s lively, positive, and full of warmth. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, attentive, and genuinely happy to be there, which says so much. The residents were engaged, smiling, and clearly well cared for. You can feel that this is a place where people are valued and treated with respect.
Our family had a very good experience with this assisted living community. From move-in through day-to-day life, the team was responsive, supportive, and genuinely caring. Communication was consistent, and it was reassuring to know our family member was in an environment where staff knew them and paid attention to their needs. This community provided stability and peace of mind during an important transition.
I appreciated how welcoming and knowledgeable the staff was during my visit. The community felt like a place where residents are genuinely supported and valued.
I recently toured this memory care community and was impressed by how calm, secure, and thoughtfully laid out the environment felt. The staff was patient and knowledgeable, taking time to explain their care philosophy and how they support residents day to day. It was clear that dignity, safety, and meaningful connection are priorities here. A strong option for anyone beginning their memory care search.

We put our loved one in this facility when it opened and was made so many promises of care. Not one has been kept! She has been there since they opened and at first she didn't get a shower for weeks, she slept in soiled sheets for weeks and they just didn't have decent help. Even though it has improved, it's a yo-yo, only because you have to constantly complain! I find pills on her floor, Many of her clothes have gone missing in the wash, and they shouldn't when they wash each person's separately, her Depends have disappeared along with many things in her room, new bottles of bath soap, hearing aids, glasses, bed sheets, some things get returned some don't. She has taken some terrible falls and we have walked in after to see water all over the bathroom floor where she just had a shower and it was why she fell! There have been incidents of BM in her room last year and caregivers left it because it wasn't their job to clean up, and the cleaning lady was gone. I feel terrible for anyone w
It has a great homelike atmosphere. Food is good there. but I don't like the constant turnovers. Seems like there is a new staff hired every week and the residents never really get to know them. The staff plays with their phones too much.
I agree with Margaret. They play with their phones all time. I'm surprised the administer didn't ask them to leave their phone in the locker. My mother lived there for a year and many times they won't help her in the bathroom because they are busy with their phone.
They treat this place more like assistant living and not memory care.
If I could, I would give no stars. The care givers, especially in memory care, are out of control. They are always on their phones face timing family and friends.
Caretakers have a problem listening to their administrators and when being corrected, threaten them and even get physical. This is all being done in front of the residents.
What kind of facility is this?
These residents are paying big money to live there and be taken care of and instead are being put in harms way!!
They need to get better administrators. Something is not working very well.
I would reconsider placing a loved one here.
Seems like some of the residents never got a shower or been changed for weeks. Caregivers sits around a lot and plays with their phones.
5 stars for great staff but don't like the long hallways, you can't keep an eye on the memory care residents. They need to have a full time activity aide to keep the residents occupied all day. All the other Memory Care places does that.
Nice place and wonderful staff, but there is no paper towel or soap dispenser in the bathroom, wondered how caregivers wash their hand after giving care?
It is a nice place but I don't like the layout of Memory care because of the long hallways and you can't keep an eye on the residents. Memory Care shouldn't have a assistant living settings
It is a great place with excellent staff but often on the weekend, there were no employees around all day and residents were all by themselves, needing help and I found one caregiver taking a nap in the private dining room. The lady who suppose to be at the front desk was sitting outside all day. They need a full time person to keep an eye on the residents all day.
