My parents have been in Assisted Living for several months at The Plaza at Edgemere. Their medications have been wrongly given 4 times in the last month and sporadically misgiven before this. My mother has to correct them herself. The staff change often, some are not courteous to the residents. In the dining room the staff are loud, do not pay attention when residents need help at their tables (the resident keeps his/her hand raised a long time waiting for help). The facility is not cleaned properly -- dust on the woodwork and a damaged ceiling in the dining room left un-repaired for months (still unrepaired). Do not come here if you have Long Term Care Insurance as the finance department is not capable or willing to help process it nor do their invoices reflect correct amounts paid on your check. They will not help my parents get refunded the correct amounts from insurance but tell us to find another facility if necessary. As of March, 2025, I do NOT recommend The Plaza at Edgemere.
