"My mom was at this facility for a little over 6 years. It changed management companies a few times. The caregivers and nurses at the facility were always so great. The issue is once your loved one passes, they are billing you for 14 days after they passed even if you get all of their stuff out of their room. I would understand if you take the 14 days to clear the room but we had everything out by 7/28 but they are still billing me until 8/6. I honestly wasn’t expecting a refund but was not expecting to pay for an empty room. So just beware of this clause in the contract. It’s honestly disgusting." - Alisha…

"My husband's 101 year-old grandmother was at The Westmore for about 7 years - first in their independent wing then later in assisted living, and finally there with the help of hospice. I cannot say enough good things about the care, compassion and programming she received while she was there. The truest testament was when we would pop in unannounced and listen outside the door to her conversations with the staff. They always had such cheerful and loving tones in their voices when they worked with her. To me, how the staff acts when no one is watching is the ultimate test of quality care, and in this regard they continually surprised me. If you are considering this location, do not hesitate in any way. Your family member will be cared for and loved." - Christine…

"My Mom lived in the Morada Lake Arlington Memory Care for 5 months. It was a terrible experience. Supposedly the care staff are trained to help redirect residents with dementia, the only redirection I saw was abrupt, verbal commands and/or physically using force. Many care staff came across that they didn't even like their jobs, so the level of care and respect to the residents was unacceptable in my opinion. When I complained to the Director all it did was get the care staff I complained about mad at me. Those staff members never spoke to me again during my visits. It was very stressful to visit my mom with that type of attitude. Poor coordination between work shifts. Day shift didn't know how things went during the night and the same was true for the night shift. The Director said they coordinate, I didn't see positive results. The things I was told during the initial visit and tour about snacks, activities, experience of staff, and the level of care my mom would get didn't turn out." - Mike…

They made her feel special and loved every single day. They ensured she had gifts to open on her birthday and at her end of life, stayed with her and made her feel comfortable.
