About me

Jerry Cox is a Southern California native and has been helping seniors and their families since 2012. He has a background in franchise development both in and out of the eldercare field, and previously owned and operated a successful coffee house in Lakewood, CA. Jerry works closely with the Veterans Administration, often donating his time to help low income and homeless veterans find housing, and thrives on sharing his expertise to help his clients understand the myriad options in the senior care landscape. "I have been through this process with my own mother, and that experience informs the choices I make when helping the families I work with. It's always personal to me."

Moving a parent or a family member into assisted living is a tricky process. We have worked with Jerry Cox to find a good fit for my elderly dad, who wasn't keen on the idea of moving. Jerry has always been very patient and kind. We were able to visit different kinds of assisted living residences over the last couple of years, as my dad’s needs changed. Jerry was instrumental in targeting the visits to my dad’s needs. He is extremely knowledgeable in this field and ultimately helped us find an excellent board and care home. Thank you, Jerry!

I met with Jerry Cox in an effort to review the facilities available for a Sr. family member. I found that Jerry had detailed knowledge of each of the 3 residential facilities he showed me so this allowed me to better compare them. In addition, each facility was laid out differently so his presentation allowed me to better judge which of the facilities he presented might be a better fit. I found his knowledge and insight to be very helpful.

Jerry was just amazing! My sister and I have been struggling for a month trying to figure out where we are going to house our elderly parents and navigating this has been a nightmare. He showed me 3 houses in one day and patiently explained how they work and introduced me to house managers. I was searching under a short time constraint for a new home for my elderly father. He accompanied me to several board and care places. Unlike, A Place for Mom which lists many places that don't have vacancies, we only visited places with available rooms. The one place that I was interested in was not answering the phone number on their website. It had been recommended by the home care nurse. He was able to get me in contact with them.

Jerry Cox did a great job of understanding my situation and suggesting places that would meet my needs that I can afford. We communicated via the internet for two weeks before I flew from Arizona to California to see the ones we both thought would meet the needs of my 80 yr. old wife with Alzheimer's Disease and 85 yr. old me's Independent Living ability. I arrived on a Wednesday, toured three senior communities with Jerry on Thursday, went back to the one I chose and signed up on Friday, and flew back on Saturday. Jerry did an outstanding job for me!
