"MorningStar at Arcadia is a gorgeous community located in the most sought-after neighborhood in Phoenix. It also has terrific care. We spend a lot of time at this community, participating in their events, and have witnessed firsthand how much each employee, even ancillary employees, deeply care for their residents in a way that you're more likely to see in a smaller community. They have a lot of great activities, plentiful community events, a beautiful property, delicious chef-prepared food, but most of all they have heart!" - Sarah Shrestha…

"I am so thankful for the staff at Brookdale Senior Living Scottsdale, who have consistently gone above and beyond in providing my family with an exceptional level of care. In particular, I would like to thank Nicole Southey, the Director, as well as Elizabeth and other caretakers for their kindness and concern. "I have had a positive experience with the staff at The Gardens here in Scottsdale. They have been very accommodating & responsive to any concerns that I or my family have had while also treating my dad with respect. The community may not be the fanciest, but it's comfortable. The staff is dedicated to providing a high level of care, which was especially important for my dad who needs extra assistance."…

"La Siena has been amazing for my mom. She moved here from another facility that was just awful. La Siena has been amazing since day 1. She has been there close to a year now and loves every part of it. People are active (even though when you tour you see a lot of people in walkers - which was my mom's concern), happy and love attending the events. There is a good mix of ages and abilities and the staff and events cater to everyone. My mom walks her dogs around the property and by the canal with several other residents and attends daily events with others who come to her room to make sure she is aware of the event. The food is good, the staff is wonderful and the building and grounds are beautiful." - Karla…

"A family member lives here and has mixed reviews. They like the community but don’t care much for the activities. The assisted living staff is efficient, caring and generally immediately available. They do, however, continually complain about the dining experience. The kitchen runs out of food, they have sometimes waited an hour to be served, the portions are small, and the food is mediocre (at best). The management and staff are very nice and friendly, but slow to get things done. They seem very short staffed, which create issues in the day to day flow of services." - K…

The figures below show the average monthly starting costs for assisted living of nearby cities. Keep in mind that these figures are an average, and that the numbers used to calculate it spanned a wide range. In fact, CareScout data suggests that most families will underestimate their monthly budget by almost 20%, meaning that once inclusions and services are factored in, they can actually afford more than they originally thought.
