Coterie Cathedral Hill is a luxury senior living community praised for its modern, stylish design and extensive amenities, including a gym, pool, and dining options that resemble high-end restaurants. Many reviews highlight the attentive, friendly, and professional staff, with special mentions of individuals like Armando Pardo, Christina Gonzalez, and Ruth Mendoza for their exceptional service. The community offers a wide range of activities, fostering a vibrant and engaging environment for residents. The Memory Care unit, led by Christina Gonzalez, receives particular acclaim for its compassionate care and personalized attention to residents' needs. While the majority of reviews are positive, emphasizing the community's welcoming atmosphere and high-quality services, some concerns are raised about maintenance issues, such as dirty filters, scratched floors, and elevator malfunctions. Additionally, the high cost of living at Coterie is noted, with some residents expressing concerns about rent increases. Overall, Coterie Cathedral Hill is highly recommended for those who can afford it, offering a luxurious and supportive environment for seniors. The staff's dedication to resident well-being and the community's comprehensive amenities make it a standout choice for senior living. I have now lived at Coterie for three and a half years and have been extremely happy. I wrote a very positive review shortly after I moved here and this one will be even better!. It feels so much like home and I would say that I am looking forward to spending the rest of my life here. I feel cared for by our superb staff, feel engaged in our diverse activities, entertained by so many events and pleasantly surrounded by friendly and interesting fellow residents. I couldn’t be happier!

My father in law toured this place last month. The quality of the building is really nice. Ultimately the independent living apartments and amenities are incredible and the assisted living / alz care feels like many other places with just a nicer building.

Coterie Cathedral Hill in San Francisco deserves every one of its five stars, and it's truly a retirement haven that feels more like the Four Seasons than a nursing facility. The standout feature at Coterie Cathedral Hill is undoubtedly the food. The three different restaurants inside this retirement home serve up meals that can only be described as amazing. Whether you're craving a fine dining experience, a cozy bistro meal, or a casual brunch, they've got you covered. The variety and quality of the cuisine are truly impressive, and it's like having an array of gourmet options at your doorstep. The property itself exudes luxury and comfort. The ambiance is reminiscent of a high-end hotel, with elegant decor and impeccable attention to detail. The spacious, well-appointed rooms are more like suites you'd find in a top-notch resort. It's the kind of place that makes you forget you're in a retirement home, and you'll feel like you're on a perpetual vacation.

We had such a great experience at Coterie. Ultimately, we decided to keep mom at home, but this will be the property that we choose when the time comes. The amenities are incredible and the rooms are truly stunning. We were nervous to bring my mom to visit a senior facility, but this property felt more like a hotel.

We are going to be renting a furnished apartment for the month of April in order to get a complete feel for Coterie. What we've seen so far, we've loved. But by renting for a month we're hoping to see both the good and the bad. We will be much better suited to give an evaluation in May.

December 2022

We toured the memory care floor and despite how nice the rooms are, we didn’t meet a memory care director like in other properties.

Belinda

Fantastic building. The manager was a hotel GM and runs it like a hotel compared to nursing home.

I moved to San Francisco 20 years ago. My mother currently lives on the east coast and we are considering having her relocate to San Francisco. I toured Coterie for a little inside research on her behalf. This is a new and gorgeous property off of O'Farrell on Cathedral Hill. It's very high end with great food, activities, etc. My mom will be out in a few weeks to tour, we hope she loves it!

Donna

November 2022

I went on a tour with Linda and this property delivered on its promise for luxury. When you walk in you feel like you are entering a luxury hotel or apartment building. The lobby and living rooms nearby are all completed with designer finishes. One room, an activity room, is located on Van Mess with massive windows to see the hustle and bustle of the city. There are three restaurants on the main floor. A bistro/diner concept, a lounge, and a formal restaurant. No expensive spared for this kind of living. The rooms are really nicely done as well. I’ve been living in a luxury condo building and I’ll stay the amenities at Coterie are much superior. The downside is the size of rooms. They are really small. I wish they were bigger. The price tag is very high for the small apartments they are offering.
