Assisted Living, Memory Care

"Our family is so grateful to the staff and especially to the Memory care staff. My Mother in law just went in December and although it hasn't been that long we have times the high level of professionalism from the staff. More importantly they give such wonderful care and love towards the patient. Memory care is a hard place to work...very challenging and we have noticed the patience and kindness of the staff towards the patients who really are in need 24 hours a day. In our case my mother in law was extremely anxious and cried a lot certain times of the day. She was confused and at times agitated due to her dementia. Every time a family member visited we came upon a scene of them holding my mother in laws hand and trying to comfort her and giving her positive encouragement and love. They would cheer her on and keep her spirits high. Just absolutely lovely to see.....we would go unannounced and so we know now that its not just for show. Truly appreciated!" - Monica…

"My friend lived in Mother Gertrude Home for five years before he died at 88 years of age. He had a private room, three meals a day plus snacks available in the dining room were always available. He was able to come and go via his own car until he could no longer drive. He was then provided transportation by the staff when friends were not available for him. He was able to have visitors and he spent much of his time in the beautiful backyard garden area where he could smell the roses, fruit trees, and other beautiful plants, trees and scenery. There was also an outdoor courtyard conveniently located near the entrance, dining room, Chapel and the hallway. He made friends and was able to have family and friends visit him. I highly recommend Mother Gertrude Home for any senior citizen. It is most appealable to Catholic Seniors because the daily and Sunday Holy Masses offered conveniently on campus in the Chapel. The Sisters are amazing. There are also planned activities. Visit!!" - Janie…
