Grand Living at Tamaya presents itself as a luxury assisted living community offering first-class care. Unfortunately, my on-site, daily experience tells a very different story. While the setting is undeniably beautiful and the food is good, those positives do not come close to compensating for the serious deficiencies in resident care and oversight, especially given that this is one of the most expensive communities in the area and has received a failing grade. The team is personable and nice. However, there are major staffing issues. Call buttons frequently go unanswered for extended periods, sometimes more than an hour. There is frequently one caregiver assigned to care for residents on two floors. I estimate that to be about forty-five residents. Resident care lacks consistency, coordination, and accountability. Records are not up to date, and it often seems that no one truly knows what is going on with residents who require assistance with daily living. I am genuinely unclear
