"My Mom lived at The Harrison for about 2 years. The service is not what it was in the past. I tried working with them for over 2 months to get them to do what was promised and it did not improve so I have moved my Mom to another facility and am so glad we made the move. They to not provide the personal Lcare or activities that were promised. Most of the staff that we liked have left to work at other places. The residents are moving out, which has left the place pretty empty. "The Springs at Lady Lake in Florida deserves a 5 Star Plus rating. I am the POA for my aunt who has been a resident there. Because I live in Ohio, I was not able to see her as often as I would have liked. Nevertheless, I took comfort in knowing that she was in a great facility that truly cared for her. The nurses, therapists, receptionists, cooks as well as the administrators have been helpful, loving and available 24/7. Some of the names of those that went above and beyond to care for my aging aunt with dementia are Debby, Debbie, Daphne, Joy and Valerie. And honestly there are others to whom I've spoken with, but I've forgotten their names. I know that no place is perfect, but I've never had a phone conversation where I felt as though they were not engaging in active listening and joining me in problem solving. "Terrible. My Mom often sits in her room in a dirty diaper and old clothes worn the day before even though I set out new clothes for her every day. Her briefs are often not changed. Mom has had to go to the hospital twice in last month for questionable UTI. Mom has many sores on her skin needing ointment application twice daily. Staff only applied once. I asked why it was not being done. NOT A CLUE Staff often does not know why Mom is not getting bathed. I asked more than two times to let me know if she is not allowing them to bath her. Room is not cleaned often. I have to change her bed. Food it horrible often feeding them high pasta and rice diet to control costs. Kitchen help hides in the kitchen rather than assisting residence. 20 min. to take order another 20 min. to receive food. No utensil at times. Witnessed more than once staff putting food down walking away from resident without forks or knives to eat with. 10 minutes later resident raised hand for help. "My mom moved into TS Memory Care 12/20/2023. It has been a dream for us-a good dream. They allow cameras without audio recording, they allow private caregivers and do not decrease their own care plan and the food is delicious. They have caring staff, well trained and volunteers who pleasantly create relationships and companionships. My mom is able to respond but looses words which is not a problem with the staff and volunteers. Trinity Springs set up is wonderful. The halls are bright and wide.
