With the exception of Allie at the front desk, Westbrook is not a caring supportive community. Our loved one was in independent living, but the director did not tolerate us advocating for our parent who was starting to need additional support. No care or concern shown. They are corporately owned and are concerned with their image rather than residents. They operate with minimal overworked staff, and offer minimal services while raising rates. We had 45 diapers six days later they were only 11 diapers left and they had gone through 240 adult wipes. Yesterday when my sister brought my dad back to memory care after spending the day at her house, they found somebody else in my dad‘s room sleeping in his bed. His room was locked and he had the key fob so the question is how did somebody get in my dad‘s bed. They have cameras in the room which they try to force you to pay for, so how did this happen? "I would give a minus 5 stars if I could. My mom lived here for a little over a year. Shortly after moving in, the management changed - so did everything else. Mom constantly complained about the food being terrible. Residents constantly were allowed to harass my mother all hours of the day and night. My mom was a smoker and multiple residents came to her begging cigarettes. We reported this to management multiple times. Their response "they are all adults, they need to manage this themselves". We were very clear that she did not have this capability. We were clear about her alzheimer's/dementia when we moved her in. They assured us they could care for all her needs. The onsite nursing team is a joke. Mom needed ear drops, "we can 't do those-family needs to come in". Could not even give an ice pack when my mom had a bad fall.
