What families are saying

We’ve gathered and summarized real family reviews from across the internet for you. Contact a CareScout representative for details.

Warwick Forest receives mixed reviews from residents and their families. Some praise the community for its friendly and responsive staff, excellent care, and a wide range of amenities, including dining options, a pool, libraries, and activities. The CCRC model is appreciated for allowing residents to invest in future care while maintaining independence. Many find the food to be good, and the facility is described as clean and well-maintained. The community is noted for its beautiful setting and family-oriented atmosphere. However, there are criticisms regarding the quality of food, communication issues, and high staff turnover. Some residents report dissatisfaction with the care in assisted living, citing cold food and insufficient portions. Concerns about management indifference and inconsistent maintenance are also mentioned. A few reviews highlight issues with medical care and lack of accountability, leading some families to seek alternative residences. The upfront and monthly costs are considered high by some, though they acknowledge the amenities provided. Overall, while many residents and families express satisfaction with Warwick Forest, others have experienced challenges, particularly in communication and care quality. The community's strengths lie in its amenities, staff friendliness, and comprehensive care options, but improvements in food quality and communication are needed to address the concerns raised by some residents and their families.

I am very happy with the care my family member is receiving at Evergreen Memory Care at Warwick Forest. Memory care patients can be tough, and I am always so impressed with the level of kindness and patience the staff show to the residents in this section. They have been very helpful in guiding us through this process, and I am sleeping much better at night knowing my dad is in good hands.

The Chesapeake opened its doors in 1969 and quickly became recognized as a premier senior community on the Virginia peninsula. The Community transitioned to a continuing care retirement community in the late 1990s and totally redesigned its campus with the addition of new resident buildings, cottages, and an impressive community center. Construction was completed in 2004 and today the Community continues to provide a warm and welcoming environment on its 40 acre campus, complete with beautiful trees and flowering vegetation. Additional renovations are currently in progress throughout the campus to further enhance the beauty and amenities of The Chesapeake.
