"Before signing a contract and making a deposit at Lasell Village, carefully read the fine print. When you (or your parent) leave, they can hold on to your deposit indefinitely--until they find another tenant. The marketing department will tell you they have a long waiting list. But it can take months or even years, during which time they can hold on to potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars. They may (or may not) offer you an estimate of when they expect to fill your spot and refund your money but they will not make any commitments or follow up to let you know the status. This is consistent with leadership that is hyper-focused on their bottom-line, not what one might expect from an organization which is technically a non-profit. Their dedicated, attentive front-line staff make Lasell Village worth considering despite their leadership, but be hyper-vigilant in knowing exactly what you are getting yourself into." - Andy… Read more
