Monroe Village Assisted Living is an Assisted Living community in the Monroe Township area that also offers Memory Care, Independent Living, Nursing Home, and Continuing Care Retirement Community care.
Our history, our mission, our community spirit. Deeds define our exceptional senior living in Monroe Township, NJ—more than words ever could.
The best way to understand our community’s mission? Think back, when Hurricane Irene struck New Jersey. The niece of a Monroe Village prospect called her Senior Living Sales Counselor. Her aunt was stranded without power. Could we help? Our Counselor went to her home, helped her pack and brought her back to our community. He settled her in and introduced her to friends who helped her feel comfortable. After the storm ended and power returned to the area, our Counselor drove the aunt home, helped her unpack, and even made sure her medication dispenser was working properly.
She’s a Monroe Village resident today. Is that any surprise? She had a first-hand preview of the way our staff and our community see their calling.
It began in 1988, when a group of physicians built Monroe Village to provide both stylish living and health care security on one campus. Since then, our community has grown and flourished. You’ll take comfort in our financial strength and stability, backed by the resources of Springpoint Senior Living, New Jersey’s leading not-for-profit provider of continuing care retirement communities. The resources of a large organization stand behind Monroe Village. You’ll be reassured by Springpoint’s strong financial rating and emphasis on quality. Springpoint offers oversight and resident satisfaction levels that a stand-alone community just can’t match.
Like all Springpoint communities, we’re CARF-CCAC accredited: we must meet and exceed rigorous standards, year after year. Independent experts analyze every facet of operations, from financial operations to food service to health care—more than 1,000 different criteria. Only 15% of all CCRCs in America achieve this distinction.
Above all, Springpoint has a mission that we at Monroe Village follow every single day: To make a difference in the lives of the residents, families and communities we serve.

Monroe Village receives a mix of positive and negative reviews from residents and their families. Many appreciate the beautiful apartments, extensive amenities, and friendly community atmosphere. Residents enjoy the variety of activities, including fitness classes, lectures, and social events, as well as the convenience of having meals prepared at on-site restaurants like The Fireside and The Bistro. The staff is often praised for being helpful, caring, and professional, contributing to a welcoming environment. However, some reviews highlight areas for improvement. Complaints include dissatisfaction with the food quality, limited dining options, and the need for reservations, which can be inconvenient. There are also concerns about the timeliness of maintenance and emergency responses, as well as issues with management communication and transparency, particularly regarding financial matters and service declines post-COVID. Despite these criticisms, many residents and their families express overall satisfaction with Monroe Village, citing the well-maintained facilities, engaging activities, and supportive staff as key benefits. The community is described as a safe and secure place for seniors, offering a range of services that cater to independent living while providing additional care when needed. The positive experiences often outweigh the negatives, making Monroe Village a popular choice for senior living.

I’m a newby at Monroe Village and so my knowledge of the Ins and Outs of the workings are limited, but; The facilities are up to date and like-able; the person in the front whom you will meet as you enter, is extremely helpful; Housekeeping help are pleasant and so far, so good absolutely no complaints; Maintenance personnel are willing (very knowledgeable) to help whenever possible; The person in the front office who introduces you to all that is possible if you decide to live here is fabulous, she made me feel very welcome; The gentleman who is a guru of pretty much all you need to know as far as making an apartment feel like your “home” goes, is wonderful. Please come and see for yourselves - believe me - you will not be disappointed!
