"Our family selected McKendree after being assured that our loved one would receive skilled, attentive care aligned with hospital discharge instructions. Unfortunately, our experience did not reflect the level of care or oversight that was promised. The hospital provided specific instructions for wound care and infection prevention, but these directions were not followed on multiple occasions. As a result, our loved one’s wounds worsened significantly, leading to infections and an eventual readmission to the hospital. These complications caused unnecessary pain, distress, and setbacks in recovery — issues that we, along with the hospital believe could have been avoided with proper attention and adherence to care protocols.
