"I can't speak to the current situation, but in 2021-2022 my mother was in the Memory Care community at Pacifica Oakland, and we took her out after 5 months. Pacifica was a low price option in the area and would accept residents that other facilities didn't. While the Memory Care director and staff did their best, the food was institutional, there wasn't adequate supervision in the main meeting space. Doctor visits went on there at the same time as programmed activities. How does that protect the privacy of the residents? Not a place I would go back to.
