"Heatherwood is beautiful and clean. They take such pride in providing a nice home for the all of the residents. I love the patio and the garden that my mom can look at out the window. I’m so happy I moved my mom in!!!" - Rachel… Read more

"Although we only recently made the move, so far Brightview Fair Oaks has been extremely positive experience. The staff is warm and welcoming, and they have been extremely helpful to me and my family. I live in a different state, and they made process of touring and moving in pretty manageable from a distance. Because they are so close to D.C., they have a good social activities calendar - things like a tour of the Library of Congress, etc. Of course that's not every day, but my mom usually has at least one activity each day that she's excited about, which takes a bit of pressure off of me. Overall, very happy to have chosen this location!" - Ecléia… Read more

"Poor staff training, constant staff turnover, some staff are not fluent in English. Orchestrated covering up of poor transfers, falls and wounds. Lip service to family concerns but no change in methods to address problems. Systemic failures from top Executive Director, to nursing to caregivers. Not a good place for your Elder family member to go despite competitive pricing." - J… Read more

"Elance at West End offers so much more than other senior communities I've visited. Their robust activity programming is truly impressive, and I especially love their lifelong learning classes. What's even better is that these classes are available to both residents and the public at no cost! One of my favorite activities is the paint and sip. The community also boasts a beautiful terrace and a fantastic movie theater. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I've visited other RUI properties, and Elance at West End is definitely one of my favorites!" - Rose… Read more

"My mother moved to The Goodwin House in Alexandria a few years after my father passed away. She absolutely loved it. She had a sunny one-bedroom apartment, and she participated in a number of activities and classes that were offered. She made new friends and enjoyed delicious dinners and, often, musical programs in the evenings. When her health declined and she had to move onto the healthcare unit, I knew she would be well cared for. I was only three hours away and could visit her often. I am so grateful to everyone on the staff for the delicious meals, interesting activities and local trips, and the wonderful care they took of my mom. Everyone was professional, yet compassionate and thoughtful" - Sue… Read more

"Moving to Woodleigh Chase was the best decision I ever made. The community truly embodies the idea of "living comfortably and happily". The staff is amazing, from day one the Sales team was phenomenal, and now the community staff handle everything in a timely manner. My greatest recommendation to anyone looking is know this, nowhere is perfect, nobody is perfect, but at Woodleigh Chase they truly commit helping solve problems and they dont quit until they do. Also there is not a single resident here with the name "Joan H" which inspired my rave review for the staff which I have come to love." - John… Read more
