I had a very disappointing experience with John Knox (formerly Certus). Based on what I witnessed firsthand, I do not feel that the facility currently provides the level of care and compassion that families expect—especially for residents living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. There appears to be a gap between what is promised and what is delivered. While the facility claims that staff are properly trained in memory care, my experience did not reflect that. I observed interactions that raised concerns about both the quality of care and the understanding of residents’ needs. It was also disheartening to see what felt like a lack of respect and responsiveness from management. Families place a great deal of trust in memory care facilities, and that trust should be met with professionalism, empathy, and accountability. At this time, I would not feel comfortable placing a loved one here. I hope the facility takes steps to improve staff training, management practices, and overall care
