"Between my husband in Memory Care/Assisted Living and me in Independent Living, we paid Provision Living [fee removed] per month from late April through early November to live at their Crown Ridge facility in Walton, KY. During my tours in March and April, I was promised 24-hour on-site nursing in the facility, consistent supervision of my husband's taking of medications, the ability to complete on-site urinalyses for my husband as needed to check for UTIs, an on-site lab to complete such tests, assistance with my husband's cPap machine and meals that accommodated my gluten allergy. "The staff is very friendly and I think they do their best to provide care. I cared for my parents as long as I could and I almost had a nervous breakdown! The food served for the most part is terrible! Had a bite of "cake" and was so bitter and taste like pepper in it. No body could eat it. No " normal" choices to be made. These people are mostly from KY. Options like normal soups no "sweet potato"! Horrible! Green bean salad was terrible and not a " normal option! I know prices on food are up but still could have meatloaf, spaghetti, chicken baked or fried, turkey dressing, roast, Salisbury steak, etc. nothing on their plates are appetizing and you would not find on a menu in KY! "I would not recommend. My mom was here for a short period of time and it was a horrible experience. She was in the memory care and we were promised many things that were not as stated. Management makes promises, the staff can't fulfill them, mostly due to not enough staff or training. Some staff were kind and seemed to try, but overall it is a place that cannot handle memory care patients unless they are the absolute perfect type that don't require much assistance. If you have a dementia patient that has behavior issues, please run from here and save your family the heartache mine went through. My mother was a difficult case but we were working with them to get her adjusted, showed up daily to help with her transition, even hired private sitters after being promiseid they could handle. The director was absolutely AWFUL to us and shipped my mom out in the early morning hours without contacting us. We were called by a local hosp to learn of her location." - J… Read more
