"Our mom was here for 3 months. Caregivers are poorly trained and grossly understaffed. Staff are not trained in basic caregiving. Our mom could not walk or stand so she relied on the staff. Response time was 15 minutes or more and 30-45 minutes at night. Some of the caregivers were rude, and made my mom feel like she was bothering them when she pressed her pendant for assistance. Management did a horrible job monitoring their staff. Caregivers are understaffed and were preoccupied with other duties such as serving dinner, kitchen cleanup, laundry etc that helping residents suffered. Several times meals were missed or she was fed soup multiple meals in a row because they ran out of food from the dining room (If you eat in your room you are fed last). If your loved one needs extra assistance (showers, using the restroom, transfer in and out of bed), this is definitely NOT the place for them." - Janet… Read more

They aren’t managed by some out of state group or owner, they are onsite all of the time and it shows. The food is amazing, they go on trips! "Recently my mother was admitted to Sunshine memory care faculty. I am very pleased with the personable care each staff member delivers to her. I was judicial in researching amenities and value based on her needs with vision impairment and dementia. Everyone is very kind - patient focused - and compassionate.
