"My mom fell in July and broke her hip. By God’s grace and provision we were able to get a spot for her at Countryside Manor. I was so thrilled because it was only about 7 minutes from my house. I have never felt so easy leaving my mom in their care. They were so professional yet so caring and loving. I cannot say one thing negative about this place and the people who work there. "My mom moved in the the assisted living facility when it opened in June 2025. Her room and the overall accommodations are very nice. The direct care staff are friendly and provide excellent care. Food is also very good. Our biggest problem as been multiple price increases including a level of care re-assessment after 30 days which increased monthly cost by nearly $2000. This was after a thorough assessment prior to moving in. In addition, the facility has increased my mom's rates on both level of care and base rate after the new year, resulting in an additional $2000/mo. I understand costs associated with caring for our loved ones, but had we known that our "rent" would increase by $4000/ mo in just 6 months, we would have certainly looked at alternative options. We visited several communities before selecting Grace Ridge. Our experience here has proven that we chose wisely. It is hard to describe all that the caring staff and administration here did for us during the pandemic. Some of the major things to ensure our health and safety including additional, no-cost meals delivered at no cost to residential units for more than 6 months of the lock-down, facilitating grocery delivery through forming a commissary stocked from their grocery supplier, virtual exercise classes and events, and so much more. "I was released today from the Bradley Creek health center at Carolina Bay to my apartment in Porters Neck North Carolina. I have been in Bradley Creek for 30 days for rehab for a broken femur corrected by surgery with a rod put in my leg when I arrived at Bradley Creek from the hospital I had no idea that I would ever walk again that I would ever be able to have anyone touch my leg again or be independent again or do anything again. The people everyone from the kitchen crew to the physical therapist to the administrators give them all a five. They saw to it through an integrated system of care which everyone working there knows about every patient in the building and everything is happening and everything that needs to be done and everything they eat and everything they do.. they will not give up on you.
