Being treated with respect, regardless of what stage in life you are currently in. For us, that means continuously monitoring and adjusting the care that is being provided, so that we can best meet the needs of each of our clients.

Our caregivers are...

HEROES! AMAZING! CARING! We do everything we can to ensure that we are only hiring the best of the best caregivers. We also provide continuing education and training for our caregivers to make sure that they are as informed and prepared as possible.

The care we offer is unique because...

We individualize the care we provide to each individual client in order to best meet whichever needs are most important to that particular client and their family. We also have someone from our office on-call 24/7. That way if you call our office after hours, you will be able to speak with someone who knows about the situation, schedule, client needs, etc.

Important to remember when caring for someone...

First, every client and situation is different, so you can’t just go with the ‘one size fits all’ approach. Secondly, this is most likely one of the first times, if not the first time, that clients and families are dealing with this type of situation. It can be really difficult to figure out, and take care of everything, that comes along with caring for someone. So, we always try to communicate about the care, processes, scheduling, etc. with clients as thoroughly and efficiently as possible in order to try and make it as clear and easy as we can.

What person-centered care means to us...

It simply means exactly what it says. Our main focus at Visiting Angels is, and will always be, our clients. We want to provide individualized care to each of our clients, because we know that no two clients are the same. One thing we do to help us provide person-centered care is whenever a client starts with us, we send out a Registered Nurse to perform an assessment and gather the information for the client’s plan of care. During this assessment, the RN will get information regarding the client’s care needs, but they will also gather information about the client’s preferences, likes, hobbies, interests, etc., and a copy of this information is kept at the client’s home for the staff to use as a reference.
