What aging with dignity means to us...
"the ability to live one's life to the fullest in the comfort of home, regardless of age, social status, illness, or disability. It can also refer to the organization Aging with Dignity, which focuses on improving end-of-life care by encouraging people to make medical decisions in advance of a serious illness."
Our caregivers are...
"exceptional, compassionate, caring and loving. They go above and beyond to provide the best care and the top notch service."
The care we offer is unique because...
"of the passion that I have to help others. As the director of Gentle Hands with many years of experience in the nursing field, I realize that there is nothing more important and rewarding in this life than being there for those who are in needs. I am well known in my community."
Important to remember when caring for someone...
"ensure that a person is always treated with dignity and respect. Show humanity when caring for them. Always see the person that you are caring for as a human being first. It is crucial to take the time to treat them the same way you or your loved ones would want to be treated if the roles were reversed. As their caregiver, you should be striving to meet their physical, emotional and cognitive needs."
What person-centered care means to us...
"when the patients are at the center of attention and being treated as the most important person on the team. Making sure that a person's preferences, needs and values guide clinical decisions, and providing care that is respectful of and responsive to them. Giving patients a chance to make informed decisions about their treatment and well-being."
What would you want to know for family member care ...
"Caregiver experience and qualifications. How often is care plan updated? How is client/caregiver match made? Are criminal background checks performed? Provider training and career development opportunities."
