My poor mother has been here for a month. We are already finding her a new place. They have a system where you push the button on a device around your neck when you need help. Every single time I'm visiting, I watch her push the button, then wait, usually over 30 minutes, and no one comes. Most days I'll have to go looking for someone, and most days, like today, I find all staff members sitting in the dining room on their phones. Then when I walk up to them and say "Can someone come help my mom?" they look at me like I'm a pest, then consult each other and look at their call systems, and say things to each other like I'm not even there, pretending they didn't get the call. OR if you're lucky, someone will actually come to her room, shut off the device, then turn around and leave again, saying "I'll be back". It is a pretty place, the rooms are big, the other residents are very nice, the food is good, but we are leaving solely because of the staff.
