I toured this home the first week of August. My 84-year-old dad is in rehab in Rye, and I wanted to learn more about the Enhanced License and hospice care, as my dad seems to be heading in that direction.
Unfortunately the sales representative wasn't very informative. She spent much of the tour talking about the property and beautiful gardens, but I wasn't able to get the information I needed about care and services. Two weeks later, my questions about hospice still haven't been answered.
I will say the grounds were very well maintained, and the residents we saw seemed happy.
At the end of the tour, we were given a bottle of liquor, possibly champagne. I explained that my husband and I are both in recovery and couldn't accept it, but they insisted anyway. I would suggest offering chocolates or a baked good instead.
Overall, my recommendation is to have better-informed tour representatives who can answer families' important questions." - Maria…
"Due to my grandmother's health concerns, we moved her into Willow Towers in order to ensure she was in a safe and controlled environment. Every time I visit her, I am astounded at how much the staff cares about her and how they have made this transition as easy as possible. I can tell that my grandmother is relaxed around her care team and they have always been attentive to her and any health concerns that come up while she has lived with them. From walking into the building to my grandmother's room I am surrounded by friendly faces and an impeccably maintained building. I could not recommend Willow Towers enough!" - Katie…
"I would highly recommend The Fountains at Rivervue to anyone looking at assisted living. The aides are fun and they go above and beyond to make sure the residents are comfortable and happy. The food is also quite good, and my mother has been very pleased with her experience so far. They are even pet-friendly so my son loves to play with the animals whenever we go visit." - 106…

As a professional with over 25 years of experience across the continuum of long-term care, I can say without hesitation that working at The Kensington Senior Living – White Plains has been the best decision of my career — hands down.
Kensington is privately owned and operated, and that truly matters. What it means for residents and families is quality over profits, always. Our Promise is to love and care for your loved one as we would our own — and this team lives that Promise with sincerity, compassion, and pride every single day.
The culture here is unmatched. Families are treated as partners, hospitality is a core value, and all meals are complimentary for families and staff — reinforcing dignity, warmth, and community. Most importantly, our staff-to-resident ratios are among the lowest in the assisted living and memory care industry, ensuring residents receive the time, attention, and personalized care they deserve.

"Be careful if you are considering this place. Prospective residents are lured in with promises of small rent increases, but then they ask for twice that much. They continue to deny that there is any bait & switch going on. But they do it all the time." - Sara…
"I had an amazing experience with Five Star in Yonkers when my parents stayed there for six years. Thankfully, my parents did too.
The facilities were kept in top-notch condition, the food was great with the staff attentive and communicative.
They experienced excellent care, support and services having lived in both the AL and memory care wings and I have seen first-hand how kind and compassionate the staff are.
It was also nice that many events that happened both inside and outside of the facility, as well as its proximity to NYC.
Despite 2020's challenges with Covid-19, Five Star provided excellent front line support. I would highly recommend this upscale active independent or assisted living home to anyone looking for a positive experience." - Eileen…

"My family has actually had not one but two members in Brightview Tarrytown for the last few years and we have been very pleased with the care they receive. The staff is attentive, respectful, and caring, and the facility is always clean. They have taken great steps to ensure everyone's safety during Covid, keeping residents and family members informed and connected. We are very thankful for their hard work and dedication to providing quality care for our family." - Marian…
"Our family was misguided and were left deeply disappointed by this facility that misrepresented their capabilities. Once they took him it turned out to be the opposite of what they sold. Their sales do not have educational backgrounds in health care. In the case of our Father, we were transparent about his Dementia and unsure what the proper place was for him. They assured us through their evaluations, that they were familiar with his dementia and symptoms and that was the place for him. They went further to say that they were building out a memory care unit which he would be perfect for. He never received the services they offered, which were PT, OT, Speech and Psych. He only received PT on a sporadic basis. They mismanaged his Meds for his first two months. They missed hygiene appointments and were late taking him to meals. They had bed bugs and he suffered several injuries and hospitalizations. Thankfully through the help of a specialist we were able to get him out in time." - Gabriel…

At Wartburg, ours is a vision of healing and hope upheld through care that touches on physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health and it has been for over 150 years. Founded in 1865 and caring for older loved ones since 1898, we believe that everyone we serve is family. That includes our residents, their families, staff and volunteers. Listening and understanding has ensured our success more than anything else.
And because we’re a not-for-profit, we can reinvest in our commitment to serving others, rather than pay dividends to shareholders. As needs change, we have more resources to dedicate to expansions, staffing and advances in care: In fact, in 2013 we opened an affordable senior housing complex as well as a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center.
All residents have the opportunity to benefit from our award-winning Council for Creative Aging & Lifelong Learning. As a member of the National Center for Creative Aging, Wartburg’s Council draws from a network of artists and arts organizations to help our residents grow, express themselves and find new meaning. The Council offers programs in painting, ceramics, horticulture, quilting, music, writing, oral history and theater.
Beyond our campus, we extend our helping hand into our community through civic organizations, religious groups and neighbors across Westchester County, NY.…
Since opening our doors in May of 1958, the Home has continued its sacred mission to provide the elderly with a home-away-from-home where they can live out their “golden years” with love, dignity, and quality of care in a Greek Orthodox environment. Our number one priority is ensuring that our residents experience the highest quality of life possible – spiritually, physically and emotionally. Truly, it is a unique facility offering quality care in a loving environment where our residents are cared for as “family members” and are accorded not only the appropriate care they need but also the respect and love of the entire staff.
St. Michael’s has dramatically enhanced the care it provides, and many health care professionals have verified that the care presently offered is above and beyond that which most other adult care facilities offer. In light of this notable accomplishment and always striving to serve the needs of the Greek American community, the Home is committed to expanding both the size of the facility and the level of care which it is licensed to offer.
Spiritual, emotional and physical comfort and care are provided in a loving Greek Orthodox environment where residents are treated as “family members”. For five decades, the Home has cared for countless members of our community and even greater demands will be placed on the facility since the number of elderly in the United States is growing faster than any other age group.
With blessings from above and support of our many friends, St. Michael’s will meet these challenges and continue its distinguished history of service bringing much honor and pride to the Greek Orthodox Church!…
