"Prices randomly go up. No transparency as to how prices are calculated. Recently changed medication management fee, no 30day notice or how prices calculated. Initially increased price, then said they miscalculated and increased again retroactively, had PCP reduce medications, temporarily reduced back to original level, then randomly retroactively increased to higher level and said cost now includes PRN medications taken at most once a year. Many services added onto service plan are not done but we are being charged. Fee is supposed to include making bed which they never do, housekeeping which is suboptimal and sometimes not at all, food is very institutionalized. When you ask a question about pricing they fail to provide clear answers and threaten to kick out if you don't like it. Many elderly especially with memory issues would rather stay at familiar location even if suboptimal; therefore, recommend look very hard at all options before moving in loved one." - Sid… Read more

"A family member lives here and has mixed reviews. They like the community but don’t care much for the activities. The assisted living staff is efficient, caring and generally immediately available. They do, however, continually complain about the dining experience. The kitchen runs out of food, they have sometimes waited an hour to be served, the portions are small, and the food is mediocre (at best). We placed my 91 year old mother in an independent living apartment there four months ago following the sudden death of her husband of nearly 70 years. "I am the brother-in-law for one of the Assisted Living residents at Grand Court Mesa. Since an unfortunate fall by our loved one early in 2024 while in independent living, we moved her to the hospital, to the rehab center and then to a care home for several months. At the care home, with which she was desperately unhappy with the care team and her accommodations in a shared room, she was visited by Denise Jacobelli, the nurse practitioner from SCAN. Ms. Jacobelli recommended to us that for about the same monthly cost, my sister-in-law could move into Grand Court Mesa Assisted Living. After reaching out to Grand Court's Community Liaison, Rachel Thrasher, we quickly determined that she could move into their Assisted Living for a marginal amount more, given her situation, and in her own apartment!
