"Belmont Village Johns Creek is a mixed bag, but I'd still give it four stars. The place is clean, and the staff are friendly and quick to help out. They're pros, caring and always there for you. The grounds are beautiful too. But, some folks say the apartments are too small and it's hard to meet people. There's worries about meds and extra costs too. Food's mostly good, like fine dining! Plenty to do to keep busy, and staff love it here. Still, some worry about management. Overall, it's recommended for the caring staff, great food, and activities. "Celebration Village is a beautiful facility, and the building itself is well maintained. Unfortunately, in my experience, the quality of care has declined over the years. I have personally experienced poor communication, difficulty reaching management, and concerns about staffing. There seems to be frequent staff turnover, and I’ve observed a lack of consistent leadership, particularly in the memory care unit. It is often difficult to get in touch with a director or receive timely responses when concerns arise. I also found interactions with the Director of Nursing to be unprofessional and disrespectful. My experience was that staff were not always treated fairly or with respect, which contributes to the high turnover. A positive workplace culture is essential when caring for a vulnerable population, and leadership sets the tone for the quality of care residents receive. This facility has tremendous potential. "Toured recently with my mother and we both were very impressed. We were greeted by a friendly Valet staff member and escorted into the spacious lobby with beautiful decor and a large waterfall. The sales team member was informative and inspiring, as we toured several apartment styles and a multitude of floors with various amenities! Mom loved the rooftop pool and gym! I loved the 18th floor sky lounge. Several groups of residents were assembled there interacting with each other in card games, music, and a book club. Very impressive. The icing on the cake for mom was the lovely garden area and dog park. Pets are welcomed and she was thrilled to know she can bring her poodle. I can share that the pricing for the 1 bedroom apartment we saw was comparable to her home but with so much more included! "We moved to Village Park Alpharetta for an independent living in Sandy Springs. I am a caregiver for an elderly lady and needed help so I could go home at night. Village Park is wonderful! They worked with my schedule and went out of their way to do things the way we were used to so that the move would be easier. KC is a remarkable manager, Ashley helped with everything and Stormy took the best care of our dad. They love fiercely, they care and show deep compassion. Rooms are spacious and food is delicious and made with care. It was also the BEST price we found, which shocked us because dad needed high level care. "My parents have been at Arbor Terrace for more than 3 years now. They wanted a place where they could age in place together and since the community offers a variety of different care types it fit perfectly. Both my parents are very independent now ad are in a villa. The Hamilton mill neighborhod is very active, a lot of shopping and restaurants nearby and a huge bonus for my Dad was the golf club nearby that he visits on a weekly basis. "Very attractive place with attentive staff. My mom had dementia and has been at their memory care wing for more than 8 months now. She has been taken care of really well. She is not a big fan of the food but other than that she has been doing very well here. It is a very large community and even though she doesnt participate in too many activities the staff has been very good about keeping her engaged on a 1:1 basis. "Corso is a beautiful facility but they operate like a real estate group with no timely communication out to residents or caregivers and families about urgent or emergency situations. The wellness team is very competent and capable but grossly understaffed and underequipped to deliver medications on time, keep updated records of medical history and preferences, and deliver care plans within a reasonable timeframe. The elevators in the facility breakdown regularly — many occasions my loved one was unable to get to bed after taking their evening medications including sleep meds because they couldn’t climb the stairs (walker/wheelchair). Sadly, it’s as though no one coordinates with anyone which is the last thing you want when placing a loved one who needs additional support under another’s care. Brought all concerns up with the directors and no resolution. Again, beautiful as a senior living community but would NOT recommend for ALF. "The community tours well. Living there is a different story. My father has lived at Atria North Point for 4 years. During that time, his rent increased 38% while services have steadily declined. The tipping point came when I found my 83-year-old father, who has Parkinson's, with significant dried blood on his face, it went unnoticed by staff all morning until my dad mentioned it, they changed the sheets, told him to "be careful," and moved on. My concern was never how the injury happened, it was the lack of assessment, documentation, or follow-up once staff knew about it. Other ongoing issues include a drain fly infestation in his apartment for over 2 years, declining housekeeping, staffing shortages, difficulty locating nursing staff, and activities that often amount to TV or bingo. The AL side has only one elevator. When it breaks down, mobility-impaired residents are effectively trapped on their floor unless they can navigate stairs.
