"I moved to the Forum at Town Center sight unseen from out of state. Moving from my own home and into independent living has been an adjustment. This is an older facility and therefore has some maintenance issues, but new management has poured resources into repairs and up keep and the gardens and grounds here are without peer. Spring through Fall here our souls are nourished by the natural beauty . Food quality and quantity are above average, often excellent! Staff are all pleasant and courteous and go the extra mile to keep residents engaged and mentally sharp. We have both independent and assisted living so most needs can be accommodated. "I felt many caregivers were not properly trained to transfer residents. There is a rule that only one person transfer is acceptable. Although I never needed more than one person I felt extreme pressure to move from the facility. I had caregivers try to transfer me by pulling on one leg, one arm etc., improper use of gate belt. "Our family member is living at the Gardens, the Memory Care unit of the Watermark at the Pearl. Our experience has been very mixed. Pros: New building, great location, beautiful restaurant and valet parking. Cons: Opened in 2024 and this unit has already been through three memory care directors, showing a real fracture in leadership. Communication between leadership, staff and the families is poor at every level. There is a lack of transparency regarding the care of your loved one and whether the service plans are being followed by staff. Many of the direct care staff go above and beyond to care for residents but are motivated intrinsically, not lead by leadership. Food is mediocre, little engagement activity offered, housekeeping and laundry are disorganized. High staff turnover and not staffed for resident needs. Bored residents cause problematic behaviors. Mario and Dave the fantastic duo are so helpful. Not only do the take great care of Creekside inside and out. They come ready to do a job right with smiles on their faces. "My Mother has been living in one of the independent-living apartments for seven years and is very happy here. They keep the grounds landscaping looking nice year around. Any time she needs anything, even a light bulb in the ceiling changed, they will take care of it. The difficulty is however, no one answers the phone anymore.
