"This is not independent living. My mother pays $3000.00 a month, which they say $1,800.00 goes to meals. Some people pay $900.00. Am I paying $900.00 for their food. No repairs get done. Work order done. One year later no repair." - Bradley

"My mother moved into the community about three months ago, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with how things have gone. From the beautiful surroundings to the overall atmosphere, everything has been wonderful. The food has been amazing. They have daily specials, fresh soups, and different catches every day, which my mother really enjoys. She also loves happy hour, and I especially enjoy being able to join her for it. The pool has quickly become her favorite part of the community, and she absolutely loves the water Tai Chi. It’s been great seeing her stay active, meet people, and truly enjoy this new chapter. Nothing is perfect, but in my opinion, this is one of the best options you’ll find in the area. Most importantly, it gives my mother the independence she wants while also providing the security, activities, and sense of community that we were looking for. As her son, having peace of mind knowing she’s happy, safe, and surrounded by people is priceless." - Nigel…

"I recently visited St. Mary's Woods and really liked what I saw. We are not ready to move yet so just information gathering, but it's good to see a variety of community types. St Mary's is a non-profit and definitely on the smaller side, which felt more comfortable to me than some of the "mega" communities." - Jim…

"I would NOT recommend Harmony. We moved my mother-in-law into Harmony in February 2026. The facility is clean and inviting, and the staff is very friendly. We were genuinely impressed with our initial visits. Within a month we had moved her in, and the honeymoon was over. For us, the negatives far outweigh the positives. Poor communication and lack of accountability from management top the list. She was there for over a month before she received her first assisted bath. After complaining for weeks, we met with management. We were told that this would be resolved. A week later, we discovered they "resolved" it by moving her into a more expensive care bracket (without our knowledge). When confronted, we were told that she did not initially ask for any assistance. This, of course, is not true, but I wonder why she would be approved for ASSISTED living, if she didn't require assistance. I have reached out to upper management, but they have shown little interest in hearing my concerns." - Dawn…
