The 20 Best Memory Care in Spring Valley, California

"Westmont of la Mesa is truly a resort like community. My parents moved in here even though they were very independent because of all the activities and social programs. The biggest plus was the indoor pool that my mother uses everyday. They are in the independent side of the community but it also offer more care for the future. The staff is also a plus." - Blanch… Read more

"In the time that i've resided in Grossmon Gardens, I have found the staff to be open and welcoming. "My loved one has been in the memory care facility for the past 2 weeks. During that time we have witnessed soiled residents walking around, lack of staff to respond to needs of residents, staff that was there telling us there are only 2 people working on that floor because others called out. (There are around 20-30 residents on that floor) We have been asked numerous times by visitors if we could help them with their loved one from helping get their clothes on to finding their loved one that wasn’t in their room and they couldn’t find him or anyone to help. The last time I was there an elderly lady was yelling for help because a man had wondered into her room. The list goes on. Along with that they told us our loved one would be checked on every 30 minutes. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN. There is much more but they limit the space. Needless my loved on is going to be moved to a different facility." - Jane… Read more

"After searching for several weeks into facilities for my mother in law with Alzheimer’s, I finally found the Diamond 💎 I had been looking for that checked every one of my desires for her. It’s not a decision that was taken lightly she has been very special to us so we were rather picky finding a place for her. All I can say from start to actual placement it’s been an extreme pleasure dealing with Ronda, Tatiana and Giovanni as well as the rest of the staff. From the start of the process to the actual placement it was seamless. Today was move in day (we’d been dreading), however the rest of the staff was amazing as well. She started playing ball and doing crafts while we set up her room without hesitation. We couldn’t believe it! I am a person that worked in a professional atmosphere for my career, I have very high expectations and I’m big on reviews so I wouldn’t give a great review if it wasn’t warranted. Thank you to each person involved and extremely caring & friendly staff!" - Cindy… Read more

"This place is horrible, just stay away from this place , there is absolutely no compassion, no customer service, no responsibility, Rebeca seemed to be ok, but just a straight up liar, she will agree with you and promise to make sure everything will be good and it happens again, and again, and again. There is absolutely no accountability for this place , the turn over on employees is the worst I have ever seen. I so wish this place was different , I wish there was some accountability for this place , at the very least , don't llore to me in my face . Rebeca has lied to me numerous times, she has no accountability , the staff has no accountability , there are no rules nor regulations in this place. No wonder why every one is leaving at such an alarming rate. LIARS. Take your love ones somewhere else ." - dave… Read more

"I recently visited a friend there and when I walked into the facility i almost fainted, the AC was either turned off or was broken, nobody seemed to know. They had windows and doors open to let in air, but it's been very hot and the doors and windows should be shut and the AC on right? These are elderly people who cannot stand the heat. With all the money they charge them, you would at least think they can afford to fix things. Their elevator ( which they only have one) is very slow and breaks down a lot. Not sure how they would get people out of there if they had a fire. Mind you, this facility has 4 floors filled with people and one elevator. This may be a negative review but it is truthful. I am checking back to see if they posted it, I also am saving it just in case they don't . Residents laying on their beds with a wet cloth across their faces trying to stay cool? They need to fix their problems here now !!" - Fay… Read more
