"Be careful if you are considering this place. Prospective residents are lured in with promises of small rent increases, but then they ask for twice that much. They continue to deny that there is any bait & switch going on. But they do it all the time." - Sara… Read more

"I had an amazing experience with Five Star in Yonkers when my parents stayed there for six years. Thankfully, my parents did too. The facilities were kept in top-notch condition, the food was great with the staff attentive and communicative. They experienced excellent care, support and services having lived in both the AL and memory care wings and I have seen first-hand how kind and compassionate the staff are. It was also nice that many events that happened both inside and outside of the facility, as well as its proximity to NYC. Despite 2020's challenges with Covid-19, Five Star provided excellent front line support. I would highly recommend this upscale active independent or assisted living home to anyone looking for a positive experience." - Eileen… Read more

"Review I toured this home the first week of August. My 84-year-old dad is in rehab in Rye, and I wanted to learn more about the Enhanced License and hospice care, as my dad seems to be heading in that direction. Unfortunately the sales representative wasn't very informative. She spent much of the tour talking about the property and beautiful gardens, but I wasn't able to get the information I needed about care and services. Two weeks later, my questions about hospice still haven't been answered. I will say the grounds were very well maintained, and the residents we saw seemed happy. At the end of the tour, we were given a bottle of liquor, possibly champagne. I explained that my husband and I are both in recovery and couldn't accept it, but they insisted anyway. I would suggest offering chocolates or a baked good instead. Overall, my recommendation is to have better-informed tour representatives who can answer families' important questions." - Maria… Read more
