"Carpets were cleaned throughout bldg., however the stains are back & actually it looks worse than before, personally I think it was $$$ down the drain. Still having a huge problem with staffing as the meals are mostly Buffet & by that I mean, just what's listed on the menu for that meal, so if you don't care for it or if have dietary restrictions your out of luck! We were told approximately 7 wks. ago at least 4 or more severs were hired BUT where are they??? Have seen 1, yes, I know they have to meet certain requirements however this is beyond ridiculous & most residents are fed up with this! Still haven't received a perk I was told I'd get as a new resident over 6 mos. ago, so not holding my breath on that. "This nursing home is one of many I visit regularly. Cuy Falls Gardens is depressing. I went for Christmas dinner and the Christmas music was turned down so rap could be played as aides danced. No holiday spirit. The residents wheel themselves down and sit in the lobby. I have never once seen the fireplace on. It would add so much warmth to emptiness The lobby tv is never on as they say the remote gets lost. a worker should be in charge of turning it on in the am and off at night. i watch wheelchaired people just sit in front of a barren screen. Even holiday music to greet and cheer residents and visitors. residents have complained about the huge amount of cigarette butts by the doors and windows. I agree.The place has no spirit and some residents have said it’s just a place to die. very sad it can’t make it a happy cheery place to not feel abandonment. a tv or music keeps the mind busy. "I do not recommend this facility to anyone EVER! I just removed my husband from Greenfield because the care and conditions were so poor. We were there from January 2023 until September and it was truly one of the worst experiences of my life. First of all for months the phones haven’t work so you can’t call to check on your loved one. The facility is run by undisciplined aides that do whatever they want when they want to. My husband was dirty sleeping in the same clothes he wore day after day. The facility is very dark and drab with no natural light coming in. The courtyard is not kept up in appearances with a fountain in the middle that does not work. The activities directors have been fired 3 times since January so there are basically no activities to encourage daily living.
