"My Dad has been at Dogwood Creek for just over a year now (just got the memory on my Facebook page!). It's been a really good experience for him - overall he seems more social and more engaged when we come to visit. He has friends, he participates in (some) of the planned activites, and they have a really nice courtyard where he reads when it's not too hot out. Of course the move was not without drama (giving up his woodshop at home was the biggest obstacle to moving but he has taken up gardening a bit more), and there are little things here and there (staff turnover, but that seems to be a problem everywhere these days).
