"I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Their memory care unit is not the best place around. They have a hard time convincing the memory care patients to quit packing their bags thinking they are going home. Some of the new residents all think they will be going home. and, this staff has a hard time convincing them that their relatives have dumped them there to be there the rest of their life. The staff is warm and welcoming, and they have been extremely helpful to me and my family. I live in a different state, and they made process of touring and moving in pretty manageable from a distance. Because they are so close to D.C., they have a good social activities calendar - things like a tour of the Library of Congress, etc. Of course that's not every day, but my mom usually has at least one activity each day that she's excited about, which takes a bit of pressure off of me.
