"I am not sure where to start but I do not understand how Terra Bella has such good reviews. We had a TERRIBLE experience with my mother-in-law. We were told they could handle a high-level of care and a very sweet sales, lady confirmed that they could handle up to Level 6 care! After our tour, she made us leave feeling very confident that THIS was to be the place for us. We got all the paperwork in order and signed her up to move in 2 weeks later! Moving day, we showed up with no one to greet us for a long while.We were expecting some kind of warm welcome and a tour for my mother-in-law who had never been there. Nothing. We waited a while and then the Director and Nurse showed up. Instead of a warm welcome, they started listed all of their concerns. She's diabetic? We can't handle insulin in her current form. "DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS PLACE FOR YOUR LOVED ONE! The staff at Magnolia are incredible at touring and the sales pitch. But let me tell you, they will not even do the bare minimum that is part of the rental contract because they are always “under-staffed”. The weekly cleanings, laundry and sheet changes do not happen regularly if at all! If and when they do clean, it’s mediocre at best. The food is inedible. Several occasions they lost our family members medications and spent days trying to locate them while she was left without her diabetic monitors among other crucial medications. And you will be charged a ridiculous amount for a “care plan” and within weeks to months they will do another assessment without any communication and double the monthly care plan, this is how they make their money. Charging lower rent and ridiculous amounts for “care plans” that are bogus and unwarranted. "My poor mother has been here for a month. We are already finding her a new place. They have a system where you push the button on a device around your neck when you need help. Every single time I'm visiting, I watch her push the button, then wait, usually over 30 minutes, and no one comes. Most days I'll have to go looking for someone, and most days, like today, I find all staff members sitting in the dining room on their phones. Then when I walk up to them and say "Can someone come help my mom?" they look at me like I'm a pest, then consult each other and look at their call systems, and say things to each other like I'm not even there, pretending they didn't get the call. OR if you're lucky, someone will actually come to her room, shut off the device, then turn around and leave again, saying "I'll be back".
