They also have a program where they offer free lecture classes to the residents and some are open to the public. It’s called RUI university. "Elance at West End offers so much more than other senior communities I've visited. Their robust activity programming is truly impressive, and I especially love their lifelong learning classes. What's even better is that these classes are available to both residents and the public at no cost! One of my favorite activities is the paint and sip. The community also boasts a beautiful terrace and a fantastic movie theater. I cannot say enough good things about this place. "I've been living at White Acres for 6 weeks now, it's been a great experience so far. One of things I appreciate most is the freedom from yard work- everything outside is beautifully maintained, and the Lanscaping is really nice. Inside, I also get help with cleaning, which has made a big difference in my day-to-day comfort. The community itself is warm and welcoming. The residents are very friendly, and there's aways something going on. The variety of activities makes it easy to stay social and engaged. "Although we only recently made the move, so far Brightview Fair Oaks has been extremely positive experience. The staff is warm and welcoming, and they have been extremely helpful to me and my family. I live in a different state, and they made process of touring and moving in pretty manageable from a distance. Because they are so close to D.C., they have a good social activities calendar - things like a tour of the Library of Congress, etc. Of course that's not every day, but my mom usually has at least one activity each day that she's excited about, which takes a bit of pressure off of me. "Recently I had the opportunity to tour Harper's Station Yorktown and I was very impressed. The staff was friendly and informative. There are several room layouts for Independent Living making it easy to adjust to your new home. Additionally, I toured Assisted Living rooms which also were very accomodating as well as the Memory Care units. But the additional facility amenities put Harper's Station into the exceptional category. Game rooms, daily social gatherings, daily events, a swimming pool and more. Plus there is an on-site physical therapist and nurse practioner...why you never or barely need to leave the grounds. "My sister -in-law moved in and middle of winter storms. Sales staff Olivia has been amazing to work with. She has helped coordinate all the details large and small. (In middle of ice storm). All staff has be so welcoming. My sister-in-law loves all the activities, the food is wonderful, the bistro is an added bonus in case you want to go grab something for a late breakfast or early lunch. Happy hour is amazing with music , finger foods and drinks. She said if you go hungry around there, it has to be your own fault cause the food is amazing and there’s food at every event. She has made so many new friends and when you walk in if there’s a staff that approaches them, they know their name. I walked in one time and a staff member was helping her find a book in the library. You will not find a more caring beautiful place.
