"My mother was transferred from the hospital to Rosewood Gardens for a short term rehab stay late this summer. She stayed on the basement level. Although the first floor of the facility appeared well kept the basement level did not appear clean, with visible dirt in the elevator, hallways and common areas. My mother was placed in a room that smelled so strongly of urine that I had to complain to have the room re-cleaned. Housekeeping did clean it again but we could not even open the windows to get the strong chemical smell out of the room. The only chair for visitors in the room was visibly dirty. There were no gloves in the bathroom in her room either. The nursing/aide staff was not responsive or attentive. My mom was left in the bathroom for extended periods of time with her call light on and no response on more than one occasion. "My concern regarding our few months of stay is the easy access of housekeeping , maintenance and caregivers to all resident apartments having their own key to be able to access in All the apartments especially when you’re not around .My main concern living here is the privacy noted and security since any one could just come in and out using the stairwell.
