CareScout Community Score

Based on CareScout’s proprietary scoring.

The CareScout Community Score is calculated using our proprietary rating system, created to help families make well-informed choices about senior living options. This score is determined using a comprehensive set of criteria, including sentiment analysis of online ratings and reviews, user-submitted feedback on CareScout.com, completeness of the community profile, input from employees and local advisors, a community's contracted status with CareScout, and the frequency of visits to the community's website and location. Communities can earn a maximum score of 10.

What families are saying

We’ve gathered and summarized real family reviews from across the internet for you. Contact a CareScout representative for details.

Reviews of Centennial Pointe Assisted Living and The Arbor Memory Care are largely positive, though one strongly negative account raises serious concerns about care quality. Most families describe the communities as clean, comfortable, well maintained, and welcoming. Staff are frequently praised as friendly, professional, attentive, and genuinely caring, with several reviewers saying they treated residents like extended family. Families appreciated the staff’s flexibility in accommodating personal preferences, preparing alternative meals, communicating with relatives, and supporting residents through changing health needs and hospice care. One family felt The Arbor provided an especially compassionate environment for their father’s final days, while another reported that a resident was eating better, walking more, and enjoying social interaction. Several reviewers noted minor concerns. One family felt the community was somewhat understaffed and that a resident was not checked on as frequently as expected, although communication remained good and a nurse was reportedly available around the clock. Food was a recurring criticism, including meals arriving cold, appearing unappealing, or lacking flavor. The studio-style rooms were described as adequate but small, and transportation to medical appointments was requested. Some residents had not yet participated in activities because of illness or adjustment. In contrast, one reviewer alleged severe neglect, including residents not receiving baths, remaining in wet or soiled briefs, not being toileted or having their teeth brushed, and nurses receiving inadequate support from management when attempting to address problems. Overall, the reviews suggest many families have had positive experiences with compassionate staff and a clean environment, but staffing, meal quality, transportation, and alleged gaps in personal care are important issues for prospective families to investigate.

My mom stayed at Lakepark Care Center for a month. The facility is clean and nice. Best of all is the friendly staff who always have a smile and answer questions promptly. The facility has a nice lobby on the same floor, and we were allowed to use a large meeting room on the top floor when many family members were there. Thank you to all the accommodation and the super care mom received at your site!

If I come ld give zero stars I would they take residents with mental issues never put in orders from doctors and expect you to read a need to know book a faulty place

Matthew

January 2024

You DON'T want to live at Lake Park. The new owners do not care about the residents at all. They just want you to pay your money and shut up. They have systematically taken away every amenity over the past year. It started with the food. Don't be fooled by the pictures on their website or twitter account. The change in portions, quality, and choices was really mean-spirited, not to mention barely edible. The wait time to get served can be over one hour. The friendly and caring long-time staff have been driven out. It's gotten so petty that they put up signs warning residents that things will "go away." Security and safety are issues too. The front desk people don't even look up to greet or check residents or visitors. There is zero plan or protocol in place for Covid prevention. Don't be fooled by the initial friendliness of anyone in charge there - they will turn on you as soon as you complain about anything. Pacifica, the parent company, seems intent on driving people out.
