"Corso is a beautiful facility but they operate like a real estate group with no timely communication out to residents or caregivers and families about urgent or emergency situations. The wellness team is very competent and capable but grossly understaffed and underequipped to deliver medications on time, keep updated records of medical history and preferences, and deliver care plans within a reasonable timeframe. The elevators in the facility breakdown regularly — many occasions my loved one was unable to get to bed after taking their evening medications including sleep meds because they couldn’t climb the stairs (walker/wheelchair). Sadly, it’s as though no one coordinates with anyone which is the last thing you want when placing a loved one who needs additional support under another’s care. Brought all concerns up with the directors and no resolution. Again, beautiful as a senior living community but would NOT recommend for ALF. "My mother is currently residing in the memory care facility. The facility was sold a few months ago and I am extremely concerned about the level of care. The top 4 reasons that I placed her there - 1 . there were real memory care activities to allow residence to thrive as the disease progresses 2. Longevity of staff, most had been there more than 5 years or more, had a real passion for caring for the senior population and communicated with families about loved ones frequently. 3. Great food that felt like dining in a nice restaurant with meal choices 4. Cleanliness and decore. Not sterile feels like home and visitation warm and welcoming. Latest events is that new company has let go all of the very capable long-term staff because they don’t want to pay them. Food and cleanliness has declined and no activities such as jazz on Fridays to engage residents. I am extremely concerned and will start the journey to find the best care for my mother. "The Gardens have worked out very well for my Mom! She was previously in a very small facility which required her to interact with the other ladies almost all day long. It was difficult for my Mom since she has lived by herself for most of the last 5 years. The director, Sherry, and the manager, Yvie, have been most helpful in getting her settled in. They even had her room furnished and decorated when we brought my Mom, which was a nice touch. Mom has mentioned a few times how the other ladies, meaning caregiving staff, have been very sweet to her and she likes them. The only compliant we have heard form Mom is she wished the food was a little better, but Mom has become a pretty picky eater in her later years! We are very pleased with the way Mom transitioned into the Gardens. Please be aware that some of the other reviews you are reading are prior to a new management taking over the Gardens in early 2018. They have already dressed up the grounds and have started remodeling the inside of the building.
