Just toured recently. Bardee told us about it. Mom lives around the corner. Better than other places we’ve seen.

What families are saying
We’ve gathered and summarized real family reviews from across the internet for you. Contact a CareScout representative for details.
Reviews of Promenade Senior Living are highly mixed, with particularly strong disagreement about care quality and staffing. Several family members report serious concerns in memory care, including residents found on the floor, left undressed or in urine-soaked clothing, not fed or assisted with eating, having dirty mouths and clothing, missed medications, delayed responses to call buttons, and inadequate bathing or monitoring. One hospice resident was reportedly found with food in his mouth, raising choking concerns. Reviewers also mention lost clothing, poor communication, rude or unhelpful front-desk and administrative staff, difficulty contacting residents, high employee turnover, and severe understaffing, especially on the third floor. Some describe the environment as unsafe, unprofessional, and not worth the cost, while others criticize inconsistent meals, cleanliness, staff behavior, and management’s responses to complaints. Conversely, many reviewers praise the community’s cleanliness, attractive and welcoming appearance, activities, location, and helpful staff. Positive experiences include successful respite and assisted-living stays, compassionate memory-care caregivers, effective coordination with hospice, and staff who made residents feel comfortable and supported. Some families describe the facility as home-like, safe, bright, and accommodating, and several recommend it highly after tours or long-term stays. Individual employees are specifically commended for kindness and going beyond expectations. Overall, the reviews suggest that experiences vary substantially by unit, time period, staffing levels, and individual employees. While the facility receives praise for its appearance, atmosphere, activities, and some caring personnel, recurring allegations of neglect, poor communication, inadequate staffing, and inconsistent care are significant concerns. Prospective families should tour carefully, ask about staffing ratios and supervision, review care procedures, and speak directly with current residents’ families.

Many of our friends have moved there. We’ve joined them for lunch. It’s usually eatable. I just prefer living home.

I only toured this community and was very pleasantly surprised by all the activities that were happening in the community. The memory care staff also seemed very empathetic and knowledgeable about maintaining an engaging environment. The prices were a little high for my situation but I guess this is the rate in SF.
